I don’t know why it bothers me so much when races aren’t the correct distance, but it does.  It wasn’t that far off (.04) so normally I would blame myself, but I was having to weave in and out like crazy so I know I didn’t shorten the course.
Nonetheless, pretty fun race.

  1. rookcanrun said: It’s more likely the Garmin is off. I often run with both Nike + and Garmin, and most of the time the difference is in tenths, not hundredths. I can run the same route different days and get different results.

  8. lion-hearted-girll said: Incorrect race distances annoy me so much! Why I ran my first half the distance was almost a full quarter mile too far. If my iPhone can measure a distance then race officials should be able to, too.
